Hi

I had a Pro-7 Sport on my 1200gs. Great bit of kit, no problems. I decided I'd like comms on my other bike too so I bought a Duo-300 in recent sales.

The comms will get more use on the 1200gs so I wanted the new kit on that bike. I put it on today and have noticed a slight constant background hiss that I never noticed with the Pro-7 Sport. By constant I mean it is there even when the vox is not "live".

The old Pro-7 Sport would hiss when the vox was live, but was silent othewise. The constant hiss on the Duo 300 is not very loud, but it is noticeable.

Has anyone else found this? Is it normal for the newer designs (if so I might go back to the Pro-7 Sport as my main unit).

Cheers
Darren

If you are plugging into the riders lead so the BGNS is not a live mic as it would be if you were plugged into the pillions lead the hiss is probably just normal analogue amp hiss which you can still here on the Pro-7. Once you are on the move you will not even notice the hiss due to the noise surrounding your helmet.
