My 2002 1150 ADV's first battery died whilst being shipped back from from the USA in early 2005. Since it had lasted three years and 85k miles, I decided to replace it with a genuine BMW OEM gel one.
Seven years and 75k miles later and the battery is on its last legs - it will start the bike, but the clock resets to zero. Once again I decided to go with OEM BMW - seven years is bloody good performance in my book.
So I checked Motorworks on line shop, who want £69 (if I remember correctly that was pretty much what I paid in 2005) for a genuine BMW part.
I thought I'd give my local BMW dealer - Lind Motorrad at Norwich - a call to see if they could match the price (I can drop by there on my way home from work, so it would save postage).
They want...
£128
For the exact same part.
I guess it's worth shopping about.
