The more i read about this legend of a bike the more i think............... the three year warranty will come in handy.

probably not i've just got rid of a RENAULT CAPTUR diesel auto 5,000 miles from new "terrible".......bag of spanners clatter. Worst diesel in over 50 years of driving um. Toyota chr "milk float" now on drive.Do you think cars are any different.........![]()
.....bliss!As a company, I cant see how they can continue this way. Who wants to spend so much on a bike that's effectively worthless when the warranty runs out??.. and their reputation must be shot.. are the Japs as bad these days?. I'd hope not?.. dare I ask about Triumphs reliability??
Do you think the Orange or Red are any better seems not............it just seems the more the bikes evolve, the more backward mechanical wise they go, they may ride better, but the price is high for that comfort.

Yes. My wife drives a Toyoya - comes with 5 years warranty. Never claimed!
Citroen C3 owned or 14 years from new. No recalls or warranty claims.
Ford Mondeo - no warranty claims.
BMW 320d several warranty claims
1st GS LC sept 2013 - p/x at 21k
Rear shock
Water pump
Front down pipes
2 new front screens
Switchgear
Replacement final drive - corrosion
2nd GS LC which is a Sept 2016. purchased with 5.5k miles last October 18. Only done 1200 since purchase.
No warranty claims by myself but the dealer did fit new downpipes before purchase.
The first gs lc was brand new. 2nd obviously not. So far so good and I have 15 months warranty leftYep may not be related, but this is why I like to buy new bikes only, as then I know the history of the bike, you could never know how the bike has been handled over 5.5k, but that is just me I suppose, typical OCD...![]()

Are we missing the point here? Yes all is well whilst a warranty is in place. Who cares less if it goes wrong. But I've bought BM in the past and put over 100k on them. They are not lasting into double figures now before going wrong. Why cant we have the quality we are paying for?
Because we keep buying them, and BMW know it............
If we are willing to accept poor quality, what can I say?
How long has the cam failure been going on? The 2013 bikes had it.. all they have to do is harden the dam things correctly. They managed to do it 40 years ago.. why cant they do it now??
