Might have trouble shifting 1000 airhead enduro sumps?Outsource to China?
Could you not offer them on a made to order basis ?Might have trouble shifting 1000 airhead enduro sumps?
IIRC I made 3 or 4 last time, when I eventually sold them I probably only covered the cost of materials and subcontract,
I’m not a big fan of working for free.:-(
Always willing to help out if someone needs bespoke parts,Could you not offer them on a made to order basis ?
Payment up front , non returnable / refundable ?
Sounds like quite a long time to me!Machined a set of wheel spacers to suit the 30mm bearing I/D and 17mm shaft, there was not enough room for seals if bearings with a 17mm I/D were used.
Then the fun started the inner pots on the Brembo 4 pot callipers would not clear the spokes and not enough room to space the disc out so a 2 pot Brembo is to be used.
This 2 pot calliper has the correct 60mm hole spacing for the forks, problem is a 320mm disc is supplied, looked at making an offset bracket but there is not any room.
So Welded a noggin of ally (technical term) to the calliper carrier then machined it flush on the opposite side to the mounting bosses then knocked up a quick jig to fasten to the mill.
Indexed off the original holes then removed the bracket, welded up the holes, fitted it back in the jig machined it back to the height of the original mountings and drilled an tapped the holes.
Takes a little longer than it sounds.
