New bike pics and thoughts

Pleased for you it's always niceto get a new steed! I myself would have kept the fog led and used the stock pipe :thumb

Have fun and ride safe
Keep us posted with what you reckon to it including the led at night :augie

I just hope when I get one or a GSA or possibly both that the new led gets me through the Gestapo at Landeck where we got -€200 finds for our hid lights :nenau

Cheers Derek, I remember seeing the pics of you unpacking your 'Wing:thumb The standard LED's are so bright, and the stock can isn't as loud as the twin cam, so it was a no brainer:beerjug:

Been back to my Dealer of choice, for another good look

Had a look at one that was dirty, pleasantly pleased at how good the standard bike is at staying clean - 100% better than the old 12GS and seemingly no need for a Mudsling, just a front fender extender

Test Ride booked for 27/3

:JB

I looked at the front fender and didn't think IMHO that there was room for a extenda ??

It does look tight. I'm waiting for Hooters to get on and make a new crud catcher:thumb

The new bike is a 100% better at staying clean than the old GS.........
Is that not the most fecking stupid statement I've read on here for a long time FFS:blast

Nope the old 12GS was awful necessitating Mudslings at al, this new one is more 1150GS in rider design and execution

At last after all the months of waiting I picked my white TE this morning
From Cooper Sunderland. Excellent service as usual.
Now all it needs is miles on the clock

Johnny, you must be in mental turmoil trying to convince yourself to buy one, then five minutes later the 1150 part of your brain takes command and you begin to look at the negatives of new.

Get to your doctor quick. Avoid going past the bank.

Although your dilemma is giving me much fun, it cant be good for your health.

Thanks Den for your concern:thumb

Mental anguish is a conundrum, for sure I will have a ride on a new WC GS to satisfy my curioisty

But, i'm fairly certain, like your good self - we already own the original and best GSA that has been made to date

Maybe not in terms of gadgets, bullshit and gizmos etc, but in terms of soul/kudos and classical appeal:thumb

It's a nightmare!!!

Monday....Got back home from my test ride on Monday,as much as I loved the bike decided I was keeping mine and getting a CRF 250.

Tuesday....Your only here once,go and get one ordered. You don't want to be riding off road on your own anyway.

Wednesday....Gave the twin cam a wash, lovely bike why would I want to swap it ? Could have great fun bimbling round the NY Moors on a CRF 250

Thursday....Read a bit more about how good the new bike is,start looking at Touratech alloy panniers. It's all very doable.

Friday.... Booked a second test ride, consider putting mine up for sale as a complete bike....The nightmare continues.

Steve

Wouldn't be to bad but all Joanne says is "Get yourself one if you want one"
