So I have done just over 200 miles on the new GSA. Am loving the gearshift pro, especially the down changes and the punchiness of the motor compared to my last TC.

However a coupe of issues seem to be recurring so far and all today after riding for about 50 miles.

1) The bike has stalled a couple of times when changing from 1st to 2nd(using clutch), and has died completely half a dozen times on changing from 4th to 5th (Gearshift)

2) I visited the fantastic Shuttleworth Museum today, and on leaving the car park, 1st gear little throttle, the bike suddenly lurched forward at full throttle then cutout and lurched at full throttle again, before I managed to hit the kill switch, having nearly ended up in one of the hangar doors. All pretty hair-raising I can tell you!. I had been riding in dynamic mode.

Switched off motor set it to rain mode and cautiously rode home, poised to use kill switch, but had no further recurrence. Dealer was closed when I got home, so will call tomorrow and report. Anyway before it goes to dealer, does anyone know if there is a throttle reset procedure, that may perhaps work.... little disconcerting to ride if it's just going to take off on its own volition.

Anyone else have this happen?

I think that I would tell the dealer to come and collect it.

Totally agree. Did you get it from SBW?

I sure did... SBW will collect it for sure once i speak to them tomorrow.

I'm sure I read somewhere, but can't find where, that the FBW throttle can be reset easily. Will probably get the standard "never seen/had that before" on any bike. We'll see.

I was in there yesterday and it was pretty quiet so they should be able to sort you out quickly.

They have just been taken over by Lings so they are in the process of amalgamating
systems etc.

So... Let's get this straight.
Your bike could have involved you in a very nasty accident TWICE.
So knowing this, you road it home.
Don't they come with BMW Assist anymore?

Got bike back form dealer having had a full factory rest. They tested the bike over 25 miles and no recurrence. Obviously a glitch in the software so let's hope it doesn't hiccup again.

Interestingly, they did say they had a similar experience with an RT, and traced that to a loose earth wire that the factory hadn't tightened, which was causing a fault.

Anyway sorted.
