Yes, SpeedFerries has been discussed here before. Personally speaking, I wouldn't travel with them again. Sorry to repeat myself but cats can be bloody uncomfortable things to travel in. Don't even consider arriving at one of the ports hoping to get an earlier sailing either. They also cram vehicles in like sardines - 6" between bumpers is not unusual. Me? I'll always stick to P&O until something better comes along.

This has been covered in many other posts but (hopefully for the last time)

Sailings are the best part of 3 or 4 hours apart so they are very inflexible. Pricewise they are only a little cheaper than the SeaFrance who sail every 90 minutes or so.

Cat's can be pretty unpleasant on all but the calmest seas and sometimes won't run if it gets too rough.

If you really need to save £20 then I'd question what you're doing going to France anyway....
