New cruise-control

Having spent the day in Manchester getting my bikes service done @Adventure-bike-warehouse. One of the many visitors Sooty09 (I believe) showed me & another chap around his bike. He highly recommended a new cruise-control system from america.

Pop in onto throttle, hold throttle at speed you want. Finger the device forward so it rests onto brake lever. You can still just twist the throttle off...so simple I'm buying one!!

been out on the bike again today,well chuffed with the cruise control weird doing 85 mph and the bike in auto pilot.

Cheers Sutty, I've looked into a number of devices doing cruise-control. This device and method is simple, can't wait for mine to come from the us-of-a.

There are even cheaper ways of making a cruise-control using O-rings. But I didn't like the idea of jamming them into a gap & then disabling could be awkward.

Sorry GunZenBomZ,It was not me, Hope to meet someday.
I had a cruise assist on my R1150R which operated a cam on the end of the bar weight. It was weird and a bit dangerous at first, on hills you speed up going down and slow down going up. As you approach a bend you have to force the throttle closed. It was only any real use on a straight empty motorway.
This device looks much simpler,and can be removed much easier for the twisties.
Im tempted to buy the Nippy Norman throttle assist first just to ease the load on my wrist on the long slog down to Dover.

Got the nippy norman throttle assists for both grips, so I can stretch my hands about on a good bout of tarmac. Rudiemoto would know who I was talking too because the chap & me coaxed this guy into buy a headlamp protector on top of having his knew engine-crash bars fitted...

hi not that i know of,there are of course the bar end weight ones that compress onto your throttle made of (metal) that can be awkward to use,but this one is simple to fit and use.like i said in the earlyier post about 8 days from america,dont forget to use the elastic band that comes with it,better grip on the throttle.

Have you seen the trick with the large cable wrap zip tie (the kind the cops use for handcuffs on rioters)? Works the same as the aluminium clothes pin thing.

I prefer real cruise controls, not just throttle holders.
