New dealership opening in Scotland it’s listed as coming soon on the Indian UK website site. Things are looking up in Scotland for the brand. We have a Service Centre in Falkirk and now a dealership in Perth.

Mind the low bridge if you’re coming off the A9! :D

Probably what they meant when they said they were wanting to open another in the North.
Bad thing is next service is 5 thousand from my current mileage around 7.5 thousand and not from 10 thousand when it was due.

Had a run down to this opening event yesterday on my Chief Dark Horse. Came back via Pitlochry then A93, Glenshee, Braemar, The lecht, Tomintoul etc lovely day for it but did hit the odd shower.

Anyway back to the event; lots of people there but not a lot of Indians on show, no demo fleet but they assured me they are coming, they did have a Challenger, a Roadmaster Elite and a few Chief and Scout variants.

Revolutions were primarily a car dealer for Morgan and Caterham, before adding bikes, they now do: Royal Enfield, CCM, Norton and Indian. Indian area of the showrooms was very small with a small merch area but early days I guess. They have the biggest stock of REs and Nortons I’ve ever seen, a great place to browse not just at the bikes but the cars too.

The did say that as the only dealer in Scotland they appreciate that many customers will still be a long way from them, so they will be offering a collection and delivery service for servicing etc. Workshop rate was quoted at £80 plus vat per hour so £96😮 Lead time currently 3 to 4 weeks to get booked in.

Some pics below but not of the Indian area as it was a bit small to get in and the bikes were spread out as they didn’t have that many.
I hope they make a go of it and wish them every success, but good to have the brand back in Scotland.

Agree with all your comments Bob.
Stopped in by the other day en route to a charity bike run. Pleasant staff (owner Elliot and lady behind counter). Bonus knowing there is a dealer within reasonable reach to get my Indian (and likewise other owners) serviced. At least labour rates are less painful than getting the RT serviced at my BMW dealer.......

Anyway, I wish them the best of luck and support anyone who wishes to support motorcycling by taking on the business and providing a service for bikers :-}

Hopefully one will open up in the North soon. Northampton is a pain for me plus a bigger one if something goes wrong with it.
I like the bike but if nothing happens i would think about getting shut of it.

That would be a sad decision Doc

There used to be an Indian dealer in Carlisle I think (KC Superbikes) but I believe he no longer has the franchise

Its good to see a new bike dealership in these days of so many closing down

It'll happen as I can't be arsed to travel to Northampton. Been once and will have to go again for service to keep the warranty up. I was going to buy Zotans GSA and flog the Indian but the boss said no.😅

Doc, you don’t have to go to a dealer to keep your warranty, Indian even specify self servicing is ok provided you use genuine or equivalent parts or an independent can do it.

I’m in a similar boat to you, for a long time there was no dealer in Scotland, now there is but it’s still a 250 mile round trip so I choose to DIY. Lack of a dealer would never put me off owing one of these bikes.

I did the 15k service on mine yesterday I used an OEM service kit £120 posted to me. You can even reset the oil change count down within RC yourself. Easier and cheaper to do than a Harley as only one oil to change not 3.

I take photos and details of work completed and write it down on the service kit receipt as well as recording in the maintenance book. So I have evidence it’s been done, a few pics of the oil change part below.

Indian also have a YouTube channel for owners to show them step by step how to service their own bikes.

Cheers. Would be easier me doing it. How did you reset the the oil countdown and where did you buy the kit from please.

I love those Indian bikes , sadly I don't have the strength to manage one these days :(

Last 'BIG' bike I owned was a Kawasaki GTR 1400 which is also a stonking bike , plus her indoors loved it too, which is allus a bonus

I bought the kit from Moorspeed Racing, Indian Dealer based in Poole.

Service reset is in RC under all settings, select bike icon and it will list miles / time to next service or oil change, select this and it will give you the option to reset. If stuck let me know I’ll take a photo of each screen for you.

Great thanks. Doesn't need doing just yet but will before I do another trip plus tyres.
