I keep hearing talk about a new European emission regulation called E4 that is going to be introduced on new bikes?

Does anyone know anything definitive, like when will it be introduced, which model bikes will be involved, and how they will be affected?

I believe Euro 4 comes into full force from 1st Jan 2017..... any older model new bikes unregistered by that date will have to be scrapped.

I guess any non euro 4 bikes will be sold off at a discount before 1st Jan

Cheers Marki, your MCM link seems to answer the question quite comprehensibly, I've a T/Blk arriving in about a week and I'm wondering what bike I will be getting....E3 or E4?

I'd heard various negative stories re e4, but it would appear that these kind of mods are inevitable and probably necessary...I believe it's called progress! :augie

Not certain, but euro 4 should bring the emissions warning light and hopefully OBD that conforms to the standard connector,

All dealers are on a bonus to sell E3 bikes before January so deals to be had all new triple black adventures are E4.

Not being silly at all.... was told this by a dealer and I wasn't necessarily talking about BMs......

As said before they will register them as pre reg and sell them with about £1500 off.
