Yesterday, I went on the Astle BMW (Grimsby) GS Rideout.

We had a fabulous day, riding around the Peak District.

It struck me, as I was cleaning my bike after I'd got home, what a superb machine this is. On two occasions, my relative lack of experience got me into a difficult position that my bike got me out of.

First, when the ABS kicked in on a narrow gravelled-covered lane, and second when I entered a corner a bit too fast and had to brake in the corner. On both occasions, the bike remained sure-footed, composed and, most important of all, upright.

One thing is for sure, this machine is beautifully and cleverly engineered and the only limiting factor is me, as the rider.

I love it. :D

There's about eight people from saturday who can tell you exactly what a relief it is that a GS is so agile and surefooted :o

I thought my 1150 GS was good but I must admit this things is quality. I've been riding 2.5 years and friends time and time again comment on how my current 1200 GS with luggage + the wife just handles like the dogs b@lls :thumb
