New Garmin 2620

Note size difference (Type II hard drive is thicker than Type I data chip)

- hard drive will not fit in the CF card PCMCIA adapter - probably a good thing, it will prevent people from screwing up the preload on it if they write to it directly from the OS.

PanEuropean,

I'm sure that your Honda floats around Highway 400 like an old Cadillac, but I'd be really interested to know how the microdrive stands up to rough handling.

I'm not asking you to park your bike in a ditch again, but can you take it onto the Great Canadian Mindbuster (Wonderland) and let us know how it performs?

Truth is, I don't really like riding in Canada. Crappy roads, too many idiots who were pulling a rickshaw or driving a mule last week and just got a Canadian drivers licence this week, and idiotic speed limits set for the lowest common denominator.

The bike's being loaded on a plane for Switzerland in mid-April, I don't think I'll get much riding done here in Canada between now and then. I plan to do some riding in Slovakia and Poland in the late spring - those roads should give the little hard drive a workout.
