I think I'm just going to have to book a test ride and take it from there.
At the end if the day if you prefer an old bike hang on to your 1150. The new LC is be superior to the 1150 is every way - will be interested to hear if that's not the case

The 1150GS will still be going strong and fully rebuildable, long after the 12GS WC has been recycled, due to a component being to complex and expensive to fix - rendering it not viable to keep on the road
Modern vehicles have a finite life, they are designed to be too complex to fix - so they recycled and replaced
All part of the big corporate plan nowadays
The 1150GS will still be going strong and fully...

Yours will go on forever if you keep going on biking holidays in the 'Pakivan'![]()

Logically an inline 4-cylinder Japanese engine has 'character' because you can identify its particular characteristics! So Japanese 4-cylinder engines have 'character', boxer engines have 'character', hmmmm single cylinder engines have 'character' etc, etc, etc.
you might soon be finding parts for 1150s that are NLA.

Rode 1100 gs ... interesting ... rode the 1150 more interesting ,, rode the 1200 much better.....rode the LC ......fanfucintastic![]()
I couldn't agree more. I've watched the GS for years, but always found it verging on the agricultural and a bit asthmatic. And so always scurried back to more appealing (to me) brands. The WC is the first BMW with the combination of performance, sophistication and promise to cause me to open my wallet.

It's been a long time coming, but the wait has been worth it![]()
