Having collected my new pride and joy on friday i took her for her first ride today to clock up the 600 miles for her first check.
Got her well and truley christined with the weather we have had in devon today so that nice new shinny look has gone:o

Have noticed that it does not have the same torque as the old 1150 is this a common thing or is it just that mine needs wearing in ??

Also found that my forearms felt the brunt of my 150 mile trip, scared of dropping her maybe , along with the ass sore but then the seat needs to shape to my ass :D

But over all i still came back with that great feeling of riding a fantastic bike :thumb2

That's strange - maybe with being new or the gearing feels different to you?

R1150 GSA SE 98Nm @ 5250

R1200 GSA 115 Nm @ 5500

hi all, i thought the same with my 1200gsa compared with my old 1150 - less torque at below 4000rpm ( my 1150 was decated with a open pipe and bbpower chip ) ive since fitted a full bos system and the differance is alot ,loads more torque and top end ,feels smoother all round , the more miles on the clock the faster they are from my experience.

cheers dave

I agree with the 'torque' comment - yes, yes I know that the 1200 makes more on paper but definately not as 'flexible' as previous 1150s and 1100s. However I have now gotten used to it and it is fine (though I am still a little dissapointed). Sure it picks its skirt up when wound on but based on 18 years experience with other GSs it aint the same and despite what others may say running is makes a difference but not a new bike.

It is a bloody good ride though and I love it!

I know lots of people change seats etc butt (sorry!) I have found that the seat is just fine and definately after a few miles the seat and I have become used to each other.
