My New GSA (600 miles)Seems to be using a lot of petrol 400ks or 240 miles per tank. I have the big tank so that is 26 litres (with 4 in reserve) or I imagine 5 gallons with 1 in reserve. I filled up as soon as orange light came on. It took 26 litres both times. Is this a sign of bad riding or is it like the oil, it settles down with age (and miles). Mostly city miles but with little traffic and lots of hills.

Thank you :) :)

That's about the same as mine. I use mine to commute into London and normally fill up between 230 - 250miles, taking about 26-27 litres. The commute involves a bit of motorway, normally a load of filtering plus stop-start town work. A steady run on a motorway would easily see 300 miles out of the tank, keeping the speed s to 60-70mph. :thumb

You're doing well... ride hard in town and you'll be lucky to get 200 out of the Adv tank... long run - an easy 300.

Beats the ruddy car... that only does 13mpg! :D

Hey mate...

Don`t forget that a gallon is 4.5 and a bit litres...not 4 litres

Unless you`ve got dodgy gallons like the Merkins have :D :D :D

Thanks david :beerjug: u2 have an email. Cheers! PCH still runnin in so whilst doin hills arenot doing it "too hard." And Tarka thankyou: as imformative as ever, allways confused me this imperial/metric conversion stuff. :bow :) :)

Mark

1200 GSA
after leaving the dealer with a full tank ( not sure how full ) I did 135 miles before i filled up again and it only took about 13 litres which equates to about 47 MPG for general riding although this is still early days

the next fill up will include some more spirited riding so i will let you know

Cheers

Chris
