NEW GSER PURCHASE ADVICE PLEASE

You will need to negotiate, they are not published - they are running stock down as the new model is due in a few weeks......

Also Park Lane is BMW owned ,..... Try Bahnstomers in Alton/Maidstone or Vines in Guildford for a better deal..

Just for info...... Bahnstormers is in Maidenhead not Maidstone

At least Vines is still in Guildford!!

Get a GSA for travel and new 2018/19 Honda forza 300. Cracking scooter for two up in London. I had original 2015 125 and it was great. But couldn’t keep GSA as well as Forza. From what I read Honda offer free tracker if you buy it through finance deal. Well worth it in my mind.

I know you didn't suggest you were going to buy the new gen bike but I would NOT do that, personally.

Bear with me....

The Used Test article in the Aug Motorcylce magazine was on the Honda VFR. Like the GS, very tried, very tested, very popular in its day, many similarities. The intital model that got VVT (VTEC) was a disaster. I know it was some 16 years ago now but if anyone was ever expected to get things right straight off the bat, Honda was it. They didn't. They did, however, subsequently fix the problem but not for almost 4 years in 2006!!

As for the used buy..... TFT/analogue....... hmmmm, try both would be my advice and make up your own mind.

I live in a sunny country so one ride on an analogue machine in the sun made me go from totally anti TFT to totally pro. Ironically, if I was going too use my bike to tour Morocco, I'd have gone for the analogue.

On the positive side for the TFT, if you don't get on with the NAV6 (as I didn't) then you won't miss all those parameters on page 2 of the NAV because 90% of them are on the TFT and you can use whatever NAV better suits you.

As for waiting,.... you may time it just right, or you may find that there are no "most popular" TE's left or that you don't get the colour you want. Bird in the hand and all that. But then never look back and don't look at how much other people paid.

Get yourself an 1150.

More reliable, less electronics, anything that's likely to go wrong will have and been fixed, probably. It'll probably save you £10k straight away, plus insurance etc. etc.

Don't shoot me down, just providing another option. :thumby:
