Having previously had a 2014 K1600GT and only selling it as the extended warranty from BMW wouldn’t cover a number of key components (shocks as an example) as the mileage was over 30K , I’ve had R1200/1250 GSA’s since .

I really fancied getting back on a K1600GT so when the opportunity to get a 2024 model with all the bells and whistles on it and only 500 miles on the clock came up I jumped at the chance

Got the bike at a substantially discounted price and got a really good trade in on my 2022 R1250 GSA triple black

The new K1600GT is now tucked up in my garage until spring time . I’ve got a pair of genuine BMW Akrapovic end cans and a top box to fit

You buying a new one then ?
Post is a bit obtuse !

Great bikes. I had a 2015 K16GT & loved it. Quite a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I changed to a GS for pretty much the same reasons as you-I do big mileage & got to 40k so before it started costing big money ( coil packs, ESA etc) I chopped it in. Maybe one day I’ll get another.

Very nice.
I looked at them last year, but went for the 1250RT as the weight was better for my knees.

As others have said... Great bikes, love my K1600GTL... currently having the luxury of a GSA & a GTL, I find however I ride it more than my GSA.

I did consider an RT, but at 6'1", I found my knees a little cramped, whereas for some reason, I found the GTL more comfortable.... oh and the 6 cyl engine is intoxicating/fab...

I caught up with one of these on one of my favourite roads - The chap was dressed in black, hiviz and a white helmet and sticking to just a tad over the speed limit so I approached with care before going for the overtake but that never happened. When I got close it looked like discrete blue lights down the side of each pannier so I though bolloxs and just hung back.

After my great road had ended I came up beside them on a roundabout to see those blue lights were just the flashing on the side having a little wrap around at the back so it was no copper waiting for me to blast past.

Even though they did spoil my drive the bike did look rather splendid

Congrats - Enjoy that creamy 6 next season, while we still can - the end of an era.

Are you on the marque forum? It's a bit mid-Atlantic, but a useful info source nonetheless.

Looks fab. Be a pity to spoil it with a top box :D :D

I’ve owned a couple of K1600’s and whilst they are brilliant bikes I was always disappointed at their residual value at trade in time because the greedy fukkers at BMW Motorad claimed 12k (for example) miles was excessive.
How can such low mileage be excessive for such a refined machine?

You’d change your tune if you were on the hunt for a secondhand one… happy days bargain.
