Sorry when we thought gold alloy wheels looked good on our Suzuki GS's in the 80's we were wrong and they still look just as wrong , as for gold anodised rims on spoked wheels they look okay on crossers but not adventure bikes like the GS/GSA or A/T's
Would look better with BST CF ones....
Pics of my bike in showroom Thurs, then different view on Fri!!
The rear black subframe, rear footrest hangers, silver bits under back of seat and rear grab rail are all being painted the same BMW white as the rest of bike. The engine rocker covers and sump guard powder coated satin black to match engine together with the silver panel next to the BMW badge on the side of the fairing. Biggest change though is those gold cartridges front and rear!!!

Good man.
Now THAT, is how it’s done.![]()

Forgot to mention the 17” RT wheels, powder coated ultra high gloss black, with Michelin Power RS sports tyres, waiting to replace the spokes.

...Hoping to pick the bike up start of March weather permitting. Depends how long the painting/powder coating takes and then my dealer putting it all back together. Wheels with the new tyres are waiting in my garage and I have the spacers from Rennkuh.
The spokes will be swapped over as soon as I get the bike home.
I have a TE basic Rallye on its way to dealer. Didn’t go for tyre sensors as the bike can only link one set of sensors to the bike, so swapping wheels generates the warning light. On other bikes I never needed a sensor to tell me when a tyre was getting soft.
I have just collected my 17” RT wheels after being powder coated high gloss black. Fitted with Michelin Power RS sports tyres 120/70 front 180/55 rear.
Ohlins TTX shocks to be fitted by dealer, so I can use the preload to raise the front by 1” to keep the stance of the bike the same, apart from being loads better than BM shocks inc ESA.
Rocker covers, sump guard, aluminium fairing panels all being done Satin Black. Rear subframe, silver under seat subframe cover and rear black rack support all being painted white.
Pics to follow once bike collected at start of March. Once properly run in and after Remus do some headers for my can it will be a full system and HT.
