New Shocks?

Top bloke thanks for that ! Totally agree about lowering by 50mm seen one done and just reminded me of a poor little donkey buckling at the knees under the weight of its obese rider not a pretty site lol 15mm doesn't sound much but from what your saying it should be enough to give me what iam looking for and dare I say it part wi sum ov mi ard earned cash !! Thanks again for calling revs and clarifying the lowered spec of your bike it's always best to get it from the horses mouth as it were all the best Jon

I can comfortably get one foot flat with the other foot on footpeg. I can't get both heels down at the same time, but to be fair Im happy with that. To test out your reach, put some plywood boards either side of the bike. You will probably find that 15mm, 20 max, is more than enough.

The previous bike was a Yamaha 900 Diversion similar weight to the GS but only a slightly better leg-floor reach and just as nasty if a foot slipped. I fitted a longer rear shock and struggled to reach the floor. The pay-off was crimped knees on longer runs.

If I can touch the floor flat footed one side and one foot on the other peg without having to lean the bike over at the moment I will be well happy ! I've got a mate who's a chippy so will get some 15mm ply off him to try out your suggestion but by going by what andrewgsadv said previously the 15mm lower Spring should do the job nicely thanks for your input bendy toy will definitely try the 15mm plywood trick before I part with my money lol! I still can't believe that the only options for wilburs wesa is 15 or 50mm ??

I have a 29 - 30" inside leg and although the previous owner had the seat reshaped and recovered, I would love an extra 10 or 15mm reach. My bike is not an ESA so I would probably have more options with Wilbers??

You could always go 15mm lower on the shocks then fit a standard GS seat
You would flat foot it then, problem then is the foot peg/ seat distance but I recon you will be fine with the lowered shocks.
You must be managing reasonably ok now?, in stock trim
