just had my new o2 sim card arrive in the post. tried it in my phone and its asking for secrity code to unlock from vodafone to any network.
any ideas????

Any market stall doing phones should be able to do it for you for a fiver.

I got a code on ebay for min, took 20 mins from pushing buy it now to having the phone unlocked

i would go to a market too. trying to do it online can be hit and miss.

aah yes, but, man on mkt wanted 25 quid, ebay blokey, with around 650 feedback, all for phone unlocks cost me 15 quid,via paypal so had a bit of comeback.

Not all phones are easily unlocked from their original network. My Nokia N80 will have to be sent back to Orange. Even my local Nokia Service Centre or their own preferred local phone wizard can't do N80s.

Shop around, had my K800 done for £10 I had been quoted £20 and £30 at other places.

Don't forget that if your phone is out of commitment (i.e. you have completed your minimum contract on it - generally 12 or 18 mths), your provider is obliged to provide the unlock code FOC.
