New Software

There's a new update to the software for the Garmin SP3 on garmins site, includes the via still, but you can add and remove them now.

Also Mapsource v4.10.

thanks for that. I can only find the Mapsource V4.10 upgrade for the US basemap. Am I looking in the wrong place?

2.4 is right, I saw nothing on here about it, so assumed it was new, I was still on the 2.38 beta..

Yes, I think you must be.
As far as I know, you cannot upgrade your base map unless you send the unit to Garmin. The Mapsource upgrade is downloaded from the Garmin website and will upgrade ALL Mapsource applications on your computor automatically.

Don't think so, Howard*. The site I was visiting had a base-map download, but stated quite clearly that it was only applicable to the US basemap. If you visit the Garmin site and follow the signs to Mapsource Upgrades, you should find it. Haven't got an address for it, sorry

I DID misread the page - it was the basemap patch (top right of the page) which refers only to the US Basemap, that confused me. The good news is that they've just released V4.11, which I've just downloaded!
