I've had a couple with yellow seats but the were faded and well past it... A hark back to the quirky options there have been... Very Germanic... I have an airhead RT with a white seat option...😆 Not that it's as white as it was...!

Like the turquoise r1100rs with white seats and the German love of sh*t brown automobiles

They look good. I bought some led dash bulbs a while ago, but never got around to fitting them. Is it much fuss to swap them?

Quite straightforward ; remove screen and headlight to get access to rear of dash , then a couple of nuts to loosen the clocks to get access to bulb holders

Been meaning to do the reverse on my 1150RT due to led dash 💡 failing... What a total PIA...😆🙄

I worked at a dealer and one day we spotted an R1200CL met brown with a tan seat rolling up..! Before it had parked I said " that must be a press bike cos no-one would spec that!"... Bang on as it was a hack using it for house hunting... He was a twat so we had to mention his "test ride" to head office...😂
 
As is usual with me I've seen another bike I fancy so this one is now sold and being picked up early next month by it's new owner

As I like things done properly and want the bike to go to its new owner with no known fauts I had an issue to resolve in that the neutral light intermittently would stop working when the bike was at full operating temperature . The usual suspect here is either the seal or the ring (or both) on the selector shaft weeping hot oil into the workings of the neutral switch on the rear of the gearbox . So this morning it was off with the rear wheel , final drive , rear shock and swinging arm to remve the old switch . Fitted a new switch along with a new o ring and seal . The old o ring was badly worn and the seal had been weeping oil .

Re-assembled and just need to take it on a test run now to confirm its fixed

Whilst I had the spanners out I removed the old LH cam chain tensioner and fitted a new modified one piece tensioner from Motorworks . This has made a big difference to how quiet the bike runs especially on hot start

I have a Moto Guzzi Le Mans to restore for a fellow UKGSer and I'm currently trying to finalise a deal on my next project bike , but thats not going well so may need to have a change of plan , watch this space
 
We really knew it wouldn't last long but there will be another along soon getting "the treatment"...😆
