So throw some black paint on it (wether it sticks or not is down to luck, I guess

Mate has a 1290 SDR 16 plate and so far it is is on its second starter motor and 3rd clucth cylinder.
The starter issue is apparently something KTM "Have never seen before" but they cant get him a new one as they are on back order due to high demand !
I need to stress that the second starter motor he is on does work most of the time
He must have a really shit dealer as mine would have taken a starter motor off a stock bike 
Good lord those grey cam covers are a travesty!

That's how he got the first replacement so stock bikes have been used up for spares
Update from mate, the shift light is now coming on at 6K which suggests a problem with the oil temp sensor

Indeed. I'm glad mine will be painted black, along with the rear rack before I take delivery of mine.

As you so often say your GS's have never had engine/gearbox/clutch/drivetrain/shoddy paintwork/corrosion etc.....mine are perfect.
