For now. It's going to Hilltop after the first service next week.;)

Apologies if this seems a silly question.
Does the Hilltop make that much difference? I read you did it to your last GSA.
My mate has just had his van re mapped and it's now smoother and much more torque plus better fuel economy, I take it Hilltop does something similar?
I've got a LC GS and I'd like it to be smoother for sure.

If you put a full system on a bike like a GSA and don't get the fuelling altered,at Hilltop or elsewhere, then it will make a difference. The difference being your bike will very likely go pop as it will be stupidly lean...

Yep, it makes a HUGE difference. The bike has several flat spots once you fit a full system, then once it gets past each flat spot will then take off like a scalded cat. The Hilltop remap eliminates that, making it smooth all the way to the top. Others go for a PC5 and other mapping options, but Hilltop is better, IMO.

Engineer will be along soon, but don't take any notice of him, as he has zero experience of a hilltop remap.

It wouldn't go pop, but you'd be daft not to remap after fitting the full system. I'm sure there are a few on here that have full systems without a hilltop remap, but if you're going to fit a full system, you'll get the full benefit after a remap.:thumb

Just interested....there seems to be quite a few going gaga over these and I am wondering what makes them appear so special to some. You don't need to be so defensive....

I'm not defensive, just used to your usual posts in this section.

You can see in the pictures on here and BMW's website what the differences are.

I don't intend on fitting a full system so do you think remapping is still worth it?

OK, it's paranoia then.....:aidan

Pics....just a.n.other black GSA.

Website....that's like doing homework.

I thought it easier for someone here to tell me what's different. But if it's a big secret or just the paint, then it's not worth the effort.

Enjoy your new black bike. :thumb2

You'll always see an improvement, but if you're not fitting a full system, it won't be as noticeable.

You were trying to be funny. Yes, it's a black bike. Zoom in on the pictures, and you'll see a different colour frame compared to the normal GSA, plus a few other minor differences. As to it being priced at a premium, most people are able to negotiate on price, making it less than a normal GSA.;)

Yes but the other minor differences cost you even more in the paint shop because BMW didn't do a proper job themselves
