That's getting better. I'm sure your dealer wouldn't be too happy about you mentioning it on here though.![]()
Double figures. I'm just one technician in one dealership and ive six this year alone...BMW has sold over 125,000 LC engined GS and GSA's since they were launched in 2013. The number of bikes that have had replacement engines is in double figures.
Which means approximately 99.5% of LC GS's made won't have the corrosion issues mentioned on this forum, so most won't be worried.![]()
You're lying through your teeth...He doesn't need to, he works at BMW HQ in the UK. He has access to all warranty claim information.![]()
Make sure you get the first service done before our trip in October. Don't want to be faffing about in France looking for a Motoradd agent.![]()

You need to check your statistics.

All bikes I am afraid suffer poor quality parts. I just got rid of a 2013 Goldwing with 8,000 miles. I had it for 2 and a half years. In that time it had a total of 3 sets of wheels, 2 sets of headlamps, 2 sets of rocker covers. I got rid of, because of the rust that was appearing at some of the painted welded joints on the frame. Honda customer services is pretty useless, far from professional.
Tell me about it. Had honda scooters from HGB in Ruislip, Both were butchered through PDI process. Rang Honda HQ, They loved the cal, told me to speak to the dealer and that was it. a year on I'm still waiting for an official response to my complaint. Needless to say I got rid of my honda scooter and vent balls out into BMW showroom for a proper bike, GS LC!
So I wonder who did the other 5
I think we all know in reality it's going to be more than double figures![]()
I don't know them...If you say so.
So, you work for BMW; why don't you give everyone the exact figures then?![]()
I don't know them...
I suppose i could always make them up to follow suit.
I'm going for 13 billion every day.

That's like saying "If you work for the NHS you can find out Jeremy Hunts underpant stockist"If you work for BMW, you'll be able to get the figures.
So, off you go, and report back with how many have been sold worldwide since the launch in 2013, and how many have had replacement engines. Don't forget to take a screen shot from the BMW computer, or nobody will believe you.![]()
