Ducati being a another premium product would rattle can the cases, well that's what they did when I made a claim for paint flaking on several cases that had corrosion.

I agree 100%. Bought my 2013 bike second hand from a dealer, really well discounted bike. BMW are supplying me with a brand new engine and swingarm due to a small amount of corrosion (Even though its out of the corrosion warranty). Top notch customer service and will see me stay with BMW for my next bike.
