Here is Geronimo with new "shoes". Feel lighter and the steering is definitly quicker wich remind me an Honda sport we used to have. On the bends its "fall" into it, a bit disconcerting at the beginning but soon you get the hang of it...waiting now for the reshaped and recovered seat to complete the new look...

New Shoes.

Hi Yosi,

That looks smart.

What about lowering the front mudguard slightly by redrilling the mounts slightly higher like Le Singe's.

Enjoy. Barry

Looking good there.

I did the same - but powdercoated them black, along with the fork brace, wishbone and rocker covers.

You can't half crack the throttle open in the corners now!!!

I've been running with 17" alloys for about 6 months now, and don't have a front mudguard at all (beak excepted, of course). I do about 50 miles a day, 5 days a week plus weekend riding and haven't found much of a problem with this setup - the front shock is protected by the wishbone but of course the front of the engine gets pretty dirty. But if you ride at this time of year the bike gets dirty anyway, mudguard or no....

I had been planning to buy the Wunderlich front mudguard designed for the 17" wheel but laziness and meanness have stopped me doing this so far :)

I haven't got any static shots but these give an idea of what the wheels look like on the bike (screen removed for a track day - I use a Tobinated Adventure screen on the road):

And a better shot of the rear wheel:
