Welcome to the site Gary :beerjug:

Which is best for 2 up touring? Well an objective and unbiased assesment and one that all on this site would agree with would be as follows:

The 1200 is comfortable, fast, powerful, light and handles like a dream.

The 1150 is uncomfortable, slow, underpowered, over weight and handling is best described as 'planted' (read slow and ponderous).

And that is the correct and definitive answer.... :thumb2

But you will arrive at your destination!

He's wrong Gary,

He doesn't know, sadly

The 1150GS is the finest ever built of the GS range and is one of the best 2up bikes

You'll see, Gary, that 11** owners are like fundamental Christians - plagued by irrational beliefs, living in the past and unable to come up to speed with the modern world. :thumb

Actually neither is anywhere as good as a honda st1300 if you are not going off the tar.
(psst i have a good one for sale:augie)

But if you must compromise:D the 1200 twin cam GSA has got to rate amongst one of the finest machines ever put on the market. In fact an astonishing all round machine :thumb

1150 gs is a great two up tourer. :thumb

1200mu (post 08) is a fantastic two up tourer.:thumb :thumb
