I noticed last night that I have no illumination on my clocks.

Any advice on ascertaining the problem and dealing with it?

could well be the little T5 bulbs in the clocks (4) shouldn't be too much of a pain on a GS to change them, if you decide to go LED then pay a bit extra the cheap ones fall out of the sockets after a short while

the loom for the clocks is tied along the bit out from the centre of the headstock

cut the ties and look for a grey wore with a black trace thats the main feed for the illumination it may be broken

Yup sensible, OP never mentioned if anything else was out ...

okay if the brake light is out too ????

fuse 1 on an 1150 is the dash illumination damping for fuel gauge and brake lamp

Some one with an 1100 could confirm that one

Don't be tempted to fit a bigger fuse if it pops! Probably if you apply the brake it may do just that Check the rear lamp for lots of corrosion which may cause bad connections

If teh brake light works back to checking the loom

All the other lights work ok. I will check the fuses and loom when I get a minute.
