On my way home from a very wet weekend, I heard a loud crack through my headphones, (wired off the lihts, Autocom).

Thought, loose connection somewhere, anyway arrived at Devils Bridge, no indicators. (and others, but didn't notice starter as I didn't try to start the bike at the time).

The fuel pump starts up, so does the ABS, but none of the above.

Checked No4 fuse and the relays, removed and refitted, everything ok.

Some 2 hours later at my mums, no starter etc, so checked all again, ok, bump started the bike, all ok.

Stopped and could restart, several times.

some 3 miles down the road, over a pothole, loud crack in the ears and everything off again, but the motor kept running.

Got home before dark, left it for half a hour, went to put it the garge, and the lot was back on????

I suspect the relay, any ideas???

thanks

Gary.

A ground problem? Could be a loose battery terminal, or ground connection. I think the lights, starter and horn share a chassis ground (under the gas tank of course).
