Is there a cheaper fix to a noisy clutch bearing than replacing the whole clutch? If this seems like a daft question it's because that's what my dealer has advised.
The action is broadly OK, though it's noisy enough to hear it whirring with the engine on (with the clutch pulled in). Is the action likely to deteriorate noticeably and/or be dangerous if left unchecked?
The dealer (no names, no pack drill) says the cost to replace the clutch is likely to be around £500.
Thoughts (and thanks) ?
