Noisy clutch bearing - cheap solution?

Is there a cheaper fix to a noisy clutch bearing than replacing the whole clutch? If this seems like a daft question it's because that's what my dealer has advised.
The action is broadly OK, though it's noisy enough to hear it whirring with the engine on (with the clutch pulled in). Is the action likely to deteriorate noticeably and/or be dangerous if left unchecked?
The dealer (no names, no pack drill) says the cost to replace the clutch is likely to be around £500.
Thoughts (and thanks) ?

What bike, 1100 or 1150 .

The clutch bearing is a completely seperate unit, nothing to do with the clutch.

On the 1100 it's fiddly but can be done without removing the gearbox.

On the 1150 it's all part of the clutch slave cylinder , so the whole part needs replacing, but easier job than the 1100 .

Do you know what I'm looking at for bits? And what I'd need to order?
Thanks for your help BTW.

Oh yeah, soz.
It's the 1150 (2000 on a 'W').

Then the clutch bearing is in the slave cylinder unit, thats on the rear of the gearbox. - what benefit fitting a new clutch ( other than lining the dealers already fat pocket :D ).

Aha. That's what I thought. They've just had me for £800+ (on what was originally a £220 service), after all the studs in the manifold had to be drilled and helicoiled - a claimed 26 hours work in totem...
I damn nearly fainted.
