Noisy Michelin pilot road 2

Hi all,


I had a new Michelin fitted last week onto the rear and the tyre roar is very obtrusive.

At first I thought it was the FD self-destructing but that feels fine. Also the roar changes depending on the road service. It will dissapear on ultra-smooth tar (or white lines) and re-appear as soon as the tar changes. The noise is so loud at time it nearly drowns-out my headphones.

Has anyone experianced a similar issue? I have checked the pressure and the rotation direction of the tyre.

The tyre shop will send the tyre back to Michelin but I will have to buy another tyre in the meantime.

My Anakee II's are the same on rough surfaces, very loud. I'm more than happy to put up with it for their wet weather performance.
