Hi! Couple of stupid questions regarding my 1200GSA

What pressure are you all running these at? Think i need to top up today, just not sure what levels are recommended here

Also......

Can i charge my battery using the socket with my ctek 3300 charger or will i damage anything?

Thanks in advance

Think its 2.2 front and 2.5 rear solo. Not sure about your second question.

I am using a similar charger, for it to bypass the canbus you will need to connect it directly to the battery. Either with the accessory lead, croc clips or ring connectors.
If you want to use the accessory socket to charge the battery you need to buy the BMW charger or the latest optimate(?) Then it's simple plug into the accessory socket within 30 seconds of turning off you ignition. (I used to have one of these when I had my 09 GSA, but sold it on ebay when I changed bikes :blast. You can buy them from NN for £99. http://www.nippynormans.com/products/batteries-and-chargers
This is unnecessary.

Luckily the bike started today first turn..... That is a shit regarding the charger, thought that was the benefit of having the poxy socket for easy charging!!!

So if i have the optimate or bmw charger i can, but what is the 30 secnd thing all about??? That cant be the rule, if the bike has been standing around then it aint running!!!

Cheers for the advice, guess i better scan ebay for a charger then!!!!

The 30s limit is a Canbus thing: the socket switches off after this period if unused. I have a BMW charger (so can use socket) but I never bother with it unless I haven't ridden for a few weeks: then I just leave it on overnight before starting. The battery is easy to get at so if I didn't have a BMW charger, it wouldn't worry me. A lot of people (myself included) seem to prefer tyres at "loaded" setting namely 2.5, 2.9. Loads of threads on all these subjects already on here and owners manual always handy.

Doesn't need to be started, just turn on ignition.
I would bother with that. Just Put a piggy back lead onto your battery and use your Ctek. That's what I do.
This is what you need

Thanks... Read the manual and it said the battery had to be disconnected? Like the idea of having the simple connection, but as i said, thankfully bike started without any problem!
