Non ABS wheels on BS bike

can I fit wheels without an ABS ring to my 1100 with ABS?
Will this damage the ABS?

I'm looking at another set of wheels fitted with knobblies for offroad and ned to know whether I need ABS rings on them.

Obviously I don't want the ABS to be working offroad anyway.

The pillars that support the ABS ring and disc are NOT the same length. Take wheels to a machine shop and ask then to remove the thickness of the ABS ring. This will ensure correct disc spacing with an ABS ring fitted.
