MMnnnnn:thumb I like that, apart from the seats..not my thing them but the paint job looks good...

Hi, Greg,
How did you paint the bike in matt black? Did you do it yourself or get a garage to do it?
Thinking of doing that with my Dakar.

Wrap em?

Most good signmakers can wrap your panels in specialist digitally printed and laminated vinyls (called easy apply vinyl and its moulded into the shapes with heat guns) Its generally hard wearing if cared for - maybe good for around 5 years. You can choose any colour, patterns, designs, logos or even photographs. There are many web sites where you can purchase your own preferred artwork and supply to the signmakers (such as istockphoto.com)
The end result can be stunning and is cheaper by a long shot over custom paint. The beauty is that when its time to trade or sell, you can remove with a hairdryer and meths to remove the residue - back to stock.
I know all this because I own a signmakers business and was considering doing my own GS along with the pannier faces (vario), just need to decide on a theme. Did like the subtle dark side of the moon bike hmm wonder how the cover of Led Zep 4 would look on the pannier facings - or maybe one of the Yes albums which always had great artwork.:thumb2
If I was pricing this an estimate would be between £280-£400 range depending on what's required. Material is not cheap and it can be a bit labour intensive.
