Total chaos.

What a surprise. Why the feck does this country always grind to a halt when several inches of snow fall?

I reckon countries that are regular sufferers of snow fall, tend to have less cars per mile of road.

The UK needs next to nothing to make the traffic system grind to a halt, even a badly parked car or a fender bender in the wrong place can cause gridlock in some areas, the effects of snow can and does cause the same disruption & no matter how many snow ploughs & gritters we keep on standby the very fact that we have very few days of snow p.a. will keep us struggling at times.

What we really need is regular snow and one car per family:thumb2

And all the Knobheads removing off the road who look suprised when the car doesn't handle as well as it does in the dry.

Last week my mate had his brand new (only on the road 4 days) taxi well and truly stuffed by some silly bint who thought she could take a sharp junction at a speed that wouldn't be good in the dry....and she had a toddler stood up between the seats.

No snow here today though...but fairly windy.

My drive to work in Bradford from my hotel normally takes 10 minutes. Took an hour and 40 minutes this morning :blast

And it's still snowing. Could be spending the night at the bakery

.

I guess thats the point really, if she knew she was going to crash then I doubt she would have driven in that manner, its mostly down to experience the more snow we get the better we would become driving in it.

Nobody knows how to drive in snow anymore.......there's a generation of young drivers who haven't a clue

Gridlock because they're sat there in first gear @ 6000rpm......wondering why there's no forward motion:rolleyes:

heavy snow in the north east. I have sent the lads home and it is still snowing. I have rang the other depots and they are doing the same. The A1 is blocked at chester le street. My mate who is driving a wagon on the A19 is down to 20 miles an hr he told me the north bound is not moving

Edinburgh's just cold and wet.....snows just a nuisance, you get all these weirdos from Penicuik not making their work, it's only a half hour away on the bus.....:blast

I was sent home by lunchtime, most days :( and it was only my prowess at playing the buffoon that helped me get a GCSE O-grade :toungincheek
