hello all,
A mate and i are off to North Africa in April for a month, can any body offer any help on the following subjects:

Bureaucracy
Visa Algeria
Visa Morocco
Frontier OK Algeria to Morocco?
Carnet
Insurance

Look at the top of the travel forum for all the info - Morocco and N africe section. Edit, post now moved to that section

But you can't cross the border from morocco to algeria and vice versa .

We're doing a 3 week trip at the same time so we may see you down there!
If you're going down to Morocco then you can forget about Algeria - the border between the 2 countries has been closed for some time.
There should be more than enough to keep you busy in Morocco, especially if you head down into western sahara.

No carnet or visa needed for morocco. Get your UK insurer to give you a green card for 3rd party cover, or if they won't then you can buy it on the border.

We'll be over there before you - we're getting on the portsmouth-bilboa ferry on the 29th march. Return home about 26 days later. Planning is mostly done - ferry tickets are booked, all my gear is sorted, and we've got a good selection of routes on GPS. Just got to give the bike a service a bit closer to departure date.
Just counting off the weeks now!
