Where abouts we talking? If it's off-road I can only do if the new K60 arrives in time because I've zero tread left on the front :eek. I also ordered one of those nice screens ...

I've another mate who's buying his first bike, a Funduro this week. He might also be along.

I aim to leave Seaton Delaval about 07:30 and join the A1 at the Gosforth Park junction.

:beerjug:

For them from afar, there,s a tea shop and public loo dead opposite the meeting area...Dont know if tea spot will be open though, hope so :thumb

Hoping to go on this ride too, if thats ok?
Its forecast a lot of rain on saturday, so do you think the off-road bits will be do-able on a standard GS with Bridgestone Trailwings on the sunday, or are they not going to be upto the job :nenau
Rich

Ermmm... I was also wondering if we have to try and tackle 'The Steps' on Scorpions

... or can you show me a way round that bit... :mmmm ;)

We did it on tourances (my rear was just legal so not much tread :mmmm )

I,m sitting the steps out on this one coz of me short legs :D but hoping to video them that do it :thumb

doing the rest of it, dont think the recent rain will cause any problems just a few more puddles :D :D

I aim to be bringing my long legs and my short bike :D , Just got to sort a leaky gasket between the swing-arm and the bevel box (I think I inadvertantly killed the other one on installation :( ) and then I've also got to get my sorry arse out of bed on early enough on sunday :D
hope to see you there

Mezza,

It rained heavy last night so this morning I took a ride over the route to see what the "off road" sections are like when wet. It's nearly all gravel tracks so it really made no difference apart from more water in some of the puddles. I had Tourances on and made a point of riding through every one at speed without problem. The off road sections are suitable for those with little or no experience and nobody will be expected to undertake anything they are not happy with. The aim of Sunday is a nice steady run at a sedate pace and I am sure there will be plenty of people to offer advice or assistance if needed. There will also be plenty of stops along the route. The "steps" which have been referred to are a short steep section of loose and large rocks however, they are at the point where we turn round so those who want to try can, and anyone who doesn't may just watch them falling off :D

By lunch time the sun came out and this is what it looked like.....

See you all Sunday :thumb
