Last night I was "cream-crackered" - I went to bed at half-eight and didn't wake 'til half-seven this morning, all aches and pains.....

Woo Hoo...

Had a cracking day out yesterday... only a couple of 'moments'... but it all added to the general excitment...

A great ride out on some fantastic trails with tons of huge puddles...

A bit of Fording to start the day off with a splash....

Hardly a crotch rocket in sight at this time of the morning in Helmsley...

Then off on Miles and Miles and Miles of be-puddled gravel roads.... fantastic fun...

To add to the fun there was a cross wind that was almost blowing your head off... woo hoo....

However...when we got to the Infamous Steps some of us (wisely) decided to turn round...

Some late comers turned up to bask in our glory ... but looked just a little too manicured to get away with it....

At this point I was just seriously relieved that myself and the bike had survived Rudland Rig and I was fit and ready for the Pink Way Around Britain Challange on Friday....

Well done Richard for a cracking ride out... and Fritz n Bev for being tail end Charlies.. and everyone else for turning up at 9am on a Sunday morning..

Looks like a safe one , with a concrete bottom (pity, it used to be mud and gravel - 10 years ago)

Thanks to Richard for organising the run, the weather (thank gawd) got better and better, though by Blakey the side wind reminded me of somewhere...Patagonia (well...a bit )
Nice to meet so many new faces (particulalry the guy who just came upon us on his GS12 and proceeded to follow on across the tracks et al

Witha ferry to Belgium on Wednesday the rock steps were out for us (phew ) the turning point for those that did (and credit to those taht went down and back up again )

On the way back a number of Pogo Sticks passed (would have been nicer if they'd had their fag break before rather than after they passed - real tossers )
There was a lot of double takes by them for some reason - aren't big bikes and folks two up a common sight on trails these days

James wanted to pass a message on...I thought he'd found a new mate

And finally... our host plus impressed locals. Is it the effect of the pipe and slipper reference with BMs or are are the women attracted to GSs just more mature (soz mate )
