I like all of them, but the price would be the deciding factor.
Seems to have been inspired by the Kawasaki KLV1000, which was their uglier version of the already ugly early V-Strom and the even uglier Pan American.
Not a looker and not helped by monochrome paint job. Might be brilliant though, but would need to be priced right, especially now the Japanese manufacturers are having to compete with the Chinese on price and value for money.

As I posted elsewhere, for reasons known only to themselves, Norton hired Gerry McGovern as a design consultant…..
Adv model for me looks plain and very boring despite it probably being a good ride

18000 miles of development riding doesn't seem very much?
He's been clear that he doesn't do the design, but the engineering to turn the design into something buildable. My first response to the bikes wasn't favourable but I'm going to wait until I see them in the metal. I remember thinking how utterly awful the R1300GS & GSA were at launch and now I really like them.
Regarding the Atlas, the market doesn't need another adventure bike, however it's what's selling at the moment. And the ageing rider demographic is resulting in a move to smaller, lighter bikes (aside from stupid folk like me), so perhaps a mid-sized road-focussed adventure bike with decent tech is not a totally silly move. Careful pricing will be key though.
I suspect the bulk of their sales will come from the next release which will be smaller still and aimed at the Indian/Asian market.
At least all of these should be homologated properly and able to be sold worldwide rather than having to go through SVA
from my experience working as a technician on the shop floor at Xerox, the battles between the production engineers and accountants are usually where it all goes wrong. Pragmatism over-ridden by the bottom line. Followed by lots of work for those of us involved in quality control on the assembly line.
