30 yr Aniversary 1200 GSA turning over but not firing. Tried new battery still same. Any ideas on things to check before I ring BMW dealer.

Kill Switch !!! give it an on off as might have water ingress and then retry it.

Side Stand Switch disconnect and WD40 it or Dead Battery Cell on the new battery.
Try to jump the bike from your car battery.

Is it going through its diagnostics, ie little lights on the dash?

Mine often doesn't go through the diagnostic and wont even turn over the starter. I'm suspecting the ignition switch because the old computer fix (turn it off and on again) and it works fine.

Water in fuel causes problems on carburettor bikes. I dont know about fuel injection where excess fuel circulates back to the tank but its feasable.

Try the Side stand , fuse box , spark plugs, fuel pump etc.
If it dose not work get a lighter and look in the fuel tanks , see if there is any petrol in :D

? and the problem was ?, Sorry it's like reading a book and the last page is missing ?

Quick check Gumtree and Ebay there might be a slighty used going concern BMW Motorcycle going CHEAP, or rather NOT going as the case maybe. :pullface

Prehap's he did do this, and he has lost his internet connection from heaven:eek::D

Or god has'nt paid his subb's yet!!:D

Still alive. Thanks for your concerns !!

Cause............put it down to shit petrol. Put fresh (expensive) 98 RON super stuff in and finally got it to fire.

Bike now not for sale.

Mine runs like poo on vanilla 95 RON. Ok, slight exaggeration, but it does feel like the brakes are dragging so I always use posh petrol.

Get the filler cap seal checked-out. Its likely water got into the tank.
