Super Enduro R's contract of sale is with NN, the company he bought he battery from. Not the post/delivery company.

i totally agree there:thumb2
but NN then needs some sort of proof in writing/e-mail that the buyer didn't receive the item so he can have proof for the Royal Mail that the buyer says he hasn't received the item otherwise everyone could try it on:augie.

but to be fair if it was longer than 10 days NN should have been chasing it up and sorting something out with Super Enduro R...pretty quickly or at least giving him the full score about what happens next as regards replacement items.

i think nn should drive round and drop it off and fit it all f.o.c
if carlsberg had a bike shop it'll probably be the best in the world:beer:

I've bought quite a bit of stuff from NN's without a problem, except for one occasion when something didn't arrive within the usual next couple of days.

I get all my stuff sent to my mother-in-laws around the corner,as she is in all day and saves me the hassle......
(I get it in other ways though!!!:augie).

However, on this occasion NN's for some reason sent the stuff to the wrong
house number. The owners of which weren't in, so it got sent back to the sorting office, which is where it had been sitting for a week and was about to be returned.

This only came to light when I asked NN's to confirm the delivery address..

Once again this was a 1-off and I have had no issues since..:thumb2

Ordered a Sargent seat 7 days ago and was emailed bu NN saying parcel sent, the next day!
Contacted NN after the 7th day and they gave me the tracking number with Amtrak which failed to be recognize on their track and trace website.
Amtrak told me if the parcel had just been sent then the tracking number is registered the next day meaning that NN has only just posted it. Doh!
Checked tonight and sure enough its in the track and trace proving that its only just been posted. Never mind!

True, but it isn't that NN didn't bother sending the stuff, it's that the delivery company hasn't delivered it. And I think you'll find that no-where in that contract does it gaurentee that you'll have your item within X days.

While the whole thing is no doubt annoying, the issue is with the delivery company. And, as pointed out by Tuned, there is absolutely nothing that NN can do about that until a certain length of time has passed.

Yes there is, send out a replacement to keep the customer happy and worry about the other one later. I have had this before and when the original arrives have sent it back at the expense of the sender.

Maybe he didn't have another one to send?

In my opinion ... there is no such thing as a 100% reliable delivery company ... or any sort of company for that matter...

From one day to the next I do not know how busy I'll be ... maybe the phone won't ring ... maybe 3 services won't turn up ... maybe everyone will turn up with a list of extra stuff they forgot to mention when they booked...

Its hard for us ... must be damn hard if you've a couple of hundred thousand parcels to deal with one day ... then double the day after ... then half as many for 2 weeks and so on...

I think they do pretty well to get anything anywhere to be honest...

People always judge you on your last cock up ... sometimes you just gotta take it on the chin and try another day...

I've tried to send a TT seat to the IOW... i sent it through a friends business as they have a deal with a courier company.... What a feck up it has been... two different courier companies one on NI the other in the UK and the feck ups between on and the other is nothing short of unbelievable.... what was meant to be next day delivery has been 2 weeks now:spitfire:spitfire

i'm going to complain to a Mod:spitfire
