Nothing to Prove

Heheheh. I know you’re a very rich sucker for new!! Might as well call you ‘Havit’ or if your really bad, ‘Gloria’

230 and 5% fast is a lousy 220…My R1200S did already 243 in 2007…Had my R1250 once downhill with bags at a indicated 146 which was a real 139 wobbling like a mofu…LOL would have been nice if he had brought bags & topcase on his testride to see if it still wobbles and I’ll bet mpg at that speed is 20 mpg so the 19 liter/5 gallon tank is useless…Wonder why they did not put a Harley Sportster tank on it to advertise another 5 Kilos of weight savings…LOL

I think the new GS with bags should go 150 mph and accelerate less than 10 seconds 0-125 to make it fun and to be able to keep up with TDIs blocking the left lane at 140 mph…LOL Only 140 means you have no chance against the diesels…LOL

Or think about the new Ferrari 296 with a V6 Hybrid that will do 0-150 in 9.7 seconds…That is FAST !!!

‘What about the indicators ?—yup that looks good’ , when he sees a green arrow blink on the TFT.
FFS. Vacuous shite.

Great video - Thanks for posting it ! He really likes the bike except for the small tank and tractor noise…Heard that before somewhere…LOL Wish he would have taken it on the Autobahn with the bags to see if you can go at least 140 mph with bags without fearing for your life and posting the mpg to see if you can do at least 120 miles without running out of gas…He loves it…I would if they had put a gallon more in the tank instead of one liter less and giving it 150 + hp at 8500 rpm instead of 145 at a low 7700 rpm ! And hopefully Akrapovic will come out with a exhaust that will drone out the mechanical clatter and sound great like on the 1250 ! As for weight saving the centerstand probably weighs 2 kilos , the luggage rack 1 , the passenger pegs 1 and the lithium battery and missing liter tank range another 3 kilos…So 12 minus 7 is really only 5 kilos weight savings…If you go with the forged wheels you save 4 kilos compared to the spoked ones…Not bad but 19 liters are too small and mean going back to the bigger & heavier ADV variant…If you dont want to think about gas all the time unless riding to Starbucks…LOL

You're welcome though in reality the BMW apple was never going to fall too far from the tree on this one as the GSA/GS has with the odd exception (Honda's 0% PCP on the Africa Twin was one O think) been the best seller for years over this side of the pond so they were always going to go for evolution not revolution and come up with a design that's going to sell the most bikes, because at the end of the day that's all they're interested in. If for instance the Ducati was outselling the Beemers by miles then they would no doubt have looked at something more radical power wise, but it's not so if it's not broke why fix it.

Here in the states or in Mexico 8 out of 10 Adv bikes are GS boxers and then Ducati MS and a few Ktms mostly 790/890…You never see Afrika Twin or PanAmericans or Tigers/Explorers…The GS definitely owns the market and for a reason ! Most of the GS are ADV versions where years ago the regular versions were more popular…

Looked at the new gs today at the dealers and immediately noticed that they have gone down the ktm route regarding the seats, the riders seat is longer and the pillion pad is shorter . The reason I use the r1250gsa for touring and not the ktm 1090 Adventure
