Light rain is forecast for Sunday.....

If we start on time we should finish mid afternoon, but depends on how many times we have to stop to pull the big bikes out....and there are 11 of us and that always slows things down a bit. I think we should arrive in Alton about 12.00 - 1.00 ish for lunch and fuel. The BP garage should be OK.

Fixed it for you :augie :D

Im seeing a bit of a pattern starting here, between the big bikes (aka proper bikes) :augie
and the small bikes (aka puddle jumpers).
Let the chaos begin.

sunday

DAVE,

Change that "12 coming" to 11.

My insurers have invalidated my insurance after the person who says I knocked him off his bike, whilst on a BOAT, has said we were "off roading" at the time.

I now have to convince them we were legal riding. Which we were.

Knob

cheers

Sorry to hear about the buggering about Clive - Is your insurance completely Null and Void or just for that event? These are legal trails and so I cannot see how they can wiggle out of it ..... Do you want me to get my missus to take a look at any documents? (she is a solicitor and works for the county council on right-of-way issues - so she knows a few things about the law in that respect...)

:blast

In my defence i was testing the said puddle for suitability for puddle jumpers to go through it.
Anyway i dont remember seeing anyone else attempting it.:thumb2

Thats nothing to do with me as we late because i had to keep jump starting those 450X if my memory is correct:rolleyes:

Can I have the 2 empty places please Ian and jan Dorset section

Puddle Jumpers & Spinning tops

Brief Ride Report :

The ride to the Hatch Pub was too much for one rider (GetaWiggleon) - engine troubles before the off. A towtruck was arranged (Horse on the GSA) but it wasn't having any of it and refused to fire.

We zipped up and down a few lanes out towards Hannington and encountered the Byway around the back of Ibworth which was solid wet chalk. Those on slicks gave rise to the entertainment with Horse's GSA going down at least 3 times.

As we approached Overton, the field started to spread out and it was clear that the big GS was not at all happy - with oil dripping from the air box and Darren wincing from carving up the countryside.

PuddleJumpers 1 - Big Trailies 0

After doing the rounds down the Harrow Way, Overton and Laverstoke (after losing Lars with a faulty clutch cable) we crossed the M3 to Dummer and picked up the muddy and wet grass routes through to Bradley.

7Cuero had fun trying to stay upright on the LC4 - Time for new tyres I think :) We made it through towards Medstead where Dave (our glorious Leader) decided to show us which route not to take through a particularly deep puddle. Didn't get a picture but we had a 45 minute break whilst we drained the water and performed minor surgery on the poor 400 and tried to get it restarted.

We then made quick progress down to Alton for the lunch stop. On the way back to the meeting point, we had Broken spokes, Stuck Throttle and lost riders.

On-the-whole, brilliant day out - Nice to get out on the familiar lanes and a few new ones too.

I think it was pretty level pegging for the pogos Vs Trailies competition - DaveE seemed to keep his 950SE under some form of vague control:D Hope the bike & knee are ok Darren.

Cheers everyone and Dave for leading (somewhere out there in front).:augie

Thanks to Dave for arranging the rideout. Sorry to slow the field up, but new tyre is going on next week. The knee is a tad tender, but should be ok.
The GSA managed to make it back to work, where a quick investigation found a airbox full of oil...:blast
Ah well, better get on Ebay start looking for a puddle jumper:blast

Well maybe anyway.

Cheers all..:thumb2
