I've been reading up on the Nuda and I'm interested in one as a 2nd bike for fun commuting and weekend hooliganism. I'd keep my current 1150 for touring purposes.

Couple of questions then:

Does anyone on here currently own one - if so, what are they like to live with? Seeing as it's based on the F800 I'd assume its reliable - correct?
Given that BMW sold Husky to KTM, will BMW still honour any warranty work and indeed service the bike?
Are spares available at all?

Experiences appreciated.

I think the Nuda R looks fantastic.:thumb By the time I thought seriously about getting one, I managed to find the MM. Say no more!:D If I wanted to free up some money and have a mad bike to run alongside the gs, it would be top of my list.

Indeed, very underrated and currently very affordable. The 315 (IIRC) crank makes it sound like a rip snorting B road hooligan weapon. HP2 power to weight, dripping with bling out of the box for a fraction of the price. Providing you can still get spares and get the thing serviced, I'm very interested:)

I can definitely picture you on one of those.:thumb

I have an F800R, a good engine / bike package, let down by poor suspension, which is fixed easily.

I had a Nuda R out for a long day, before BMW sold the brand off. A fun bike, different but similar to the F800R.

Great brakes.

Tidy suspension.

Capable of taking the 'pod' luggage off the 800 and other BMW bikes.

I would be happy riding one to the Vosges or Black Forest to hoon about on. You can ride it all day, no question.

The bike had a 'sports exhaust' from which the baffle had been removed. It would be better with in in. The noise isn't necessary.

I've not ridden a Nuda but have friends who have.

General consensus was 'fun for a while but then got a bit boring' as in, it's trying to be a hooligan bike but isn't quite there, a bit too sensible.............sort of falls in between two camps without being exciting in either IYSWIM. Also, speaking as an owner of a 'BWM' Husky I'd say that componantry is up there with the best but some aspects of build quality leave a bit to be desired (if that bothers you?) - dunno what the Nuda's like in that respect though?

Personally, and in a similar vain, I'd go for a Dorsoduro. Now I have ridden one of these and they really can be a hooligan bike, no holding back at all.............yet.............it was dead comfy, a good size and well built and felt as if it could be fairly practicle as well.

Going back a but were you referring to the 750 or 1200 Dorsoduro ?

Speaking for mesself, I think the picture is of a 12. I have ridden the 750 and found it to be a bit too civilised (or maybe I always want more??)

Back to the OP, there is one over here and its good to look at, prob what I have in mind as a Number 2 to live in the garage with the Blade, whereas I am happy to leave the GS outside under a cover.
