I have lost the horn, the one on the bike:blast

When I press the button no horn but connect a multimeter to the spades that connect to the horn and the horn button is pressed 12V on the meter. So you would think that the horn is u/s but when the horn is connected directly to a 12v battery I get deafened,

I dont understand why the horn wont work off the button, switch is giving 12v, horn is OK but put the two together I get silence. does anyone have an idea where I should be looking?

Mine had a similar issue but found that the pos wire had failed.

Try another 12v feed to the horn straight off the battery

wires

you can have 12 volts through 1 single strand of wire
conect the wire to a 12 volt lead light that will confirm if the wiring positive is ok give the wire a wiggle whilst pressing the horn button
hope you find it

Senior moment there, it was a new earth wire to battery not the pos DOH
