Abs flashing not working, then working, yes no yes no.
Looking on here could be a battery prob for Abs,Oddessey looked the best way to go as did the garage i took it to as well, but old battery wase'nt that down on power with the drop test, but ordered one anyway,
Got the battery in fitted the hole just right,
Now the F****in positive lead to short by half an inch,if i go around and out of the way,ok if i go over the battery.
Did any body else have a problem with it not fitting.
Tried pulling the lead and it wont budge.took some panels off and strewth it just dissaper's up the loom and around.

HACKED OFF IN DEVON:tears

:) when you buy a Oddessey battery from NN I think that they supply you with the extension cable !
You should always charge you battery to full before you start and use your bike specially when you have ABS !

Got the battery through Graham's in Taunton, battery allway's hookes up to a charger when not in use through the power socket, hooked up before canbus close's down everything.
Cheer's

you dont get an extension cable from nn you get a modified terminal iirc,be very careful fitting the oddysee make sure for certain the seat adjuster bar at the front cant short out on the terminals.on adv rider there is a good how to with pics on fitting a oddysee to a 1200.

Cheer's auto,i did look and thought it was close but didnt get that far,it did come with bent piece of flat copper bent at right angles you first screw onto the terminal, then screw the lead to.will have to get some flat copper from someware to make a patch.

Just get a small piss off copper pipe make it all nice and flat , bend it the way you ned , 2 holes on each side and job done :) should be easy :thumb
I remember when I bought my Oddessey for my 1150 GSA it actually came with 2 bendy clamps , i took it to my dealer and when I had my bike serviced and the mechanic install the battery for me , he didn't use the clamps , I think I still have them somewhere in the garage :)
Good luck :thumb show us a pic. When you done and finish :)

I have noticed the same thing with mine. I am thinking of making a spacer and using a longer bolt, that way I can mount the l
ug over the top and flat if you see what I mean.

small piss of pipe, fecking classic thank you sani:clap

Copper is pretty easy to hammer you can make it in any shape ! When I was a kid at school I was doing table spoons out off them let alone a small clamp :) It was actually one part off my exam in metal ! , oh I actually didn't let you know that one off my qualification is in metal metallurgy !:thumb

Many thank's for all your replies, have now done the job,
By going back again and moving live cable (it came out of loom underneath)over the top of the earth and feeding it very tightly around the edge of the battery,it just made it,had to cut a piece of old car small water pipe for insulation for the pozzi terminal as the one supplied was naff,
The earth is now looped back on it's self as well as that was to long as well.
If i can manage to get picture up will do it.
Mike.

With a heavy cable wrapped in close make 100% sure it cant chafe and rub through the insulation. I once cooked a car wiring loom doing something similar and the cable shorted out. ;(

Fanx all:aidan, yep have got it tied tight to frame and cable tied it tight, and looked to see if seat miisis all ok and all look's as sound as a pound.
Mike.
