I am heading over to Lochearnhead at the beginning of May with some work colleagues on the bike, and I was wondering if anyone knows of any Forest type tracks or trails in the area.
Everyone else is on road bikes and I just fancy sonething a bit different for a few hours.
Nothing too tricky as I will be on my own on Tourance tyres on a 1990 100GS that needs to get me back to Dublin afterwards.

cheers

I don't know of anything myself but I'm sure a quick bimble down some lanes wouldn't go amiss - especially if your gps sends you down them:augie

Take an OS map of the area- there will be miles of forestry tacks around and Tourances will cope just fine.

Tip- if the track looks recently used -watch out for feckin great logging trucks coming round blind bends:eek: there is usually NO run off.

You won't get your bike on it but if you've got time for a walk, leg it along the old railway track up Glen Ogle (National Cycle route 7). If you're fit, go from Balquidder to Glen Ogle head. It's a view of the glen you won't forget!

If you can, try and find a copy of the film 'Geordie', one of the locations was around there!

Geordie!!!!

I thought I was the only person old enough to remember that film!:oonyack

His fishing programme was better than his music career IMHO
