3mpg. Perhaps you had a headwind on the way to Hilltop.

Do you guys twist the throttle when riding? What rpm do you change gear at? Or are people just glacially accelerating up to 55mph and setting the cruise control? These are fun bikes to ride when pushed!

Is that a request for pictures of Chicken Strips![]()
Aye, and that was me being Scottish as the tyres were properly fit for the bin!I dream of 4.5K!
My XR which has been Hilltopped is showing an total average of 48MPG.
The difference in fuel consumption when going slowly to having real fun can be as much as 50%
Mine is about the same but on sunday i had it down to 38 for the tank full i used !!
I'm going to be lucky to get 2,000 miles out my current rear tyre.
On a recent trip to France, I got from Gloucestershire to Folkestone, around 170 miles on one tank of fuel with plenty to spare because the traffic was horrendous, riding home from Portsmouth which is 110 mikes with no traffic late at night, I used almost the whole tank!
Yes if yo are on the Pirelli rosso 3s 2k is about right ( its about what i was getting) I now use Metzler roadtec 01 and they are just as grippy in the dry much better in the wet and have lasted 4K without any change to my riding style
My current rear is a Bridgestone. I normally like to use the Battalax 023 because they have harder centres but couldn't find one when I was looking so bought something close. Won't use the same again because it's not lasting at all.
I'd be interested in this tooAnyone know of another group visit to Hilltop which isn't at a weekend?

Which Bridgestone did you fit isn't of the 023 ?
I'd be interested in this too![]()
